Eplight (VascuLight Technology) is the delivery of a gentle, non-invasive, light therapy that gives long lasting suppression to unwanted hair. Based on technology used for nearly a decade in the treatment of port-wine stains and other birthmarks, photoepilation has been performed safely for many years, effectively eliminating dozens of hairs with each pulse.

Prior to the treatment a cool gel is applied to the area being treated and a light therapy "flash lamp" delivers a pulse of light that safely penetrates the skin and disables hundreds of hair follicles simultaneously. When the pulse of light is delivered to the targeted area, the "flash lamp pulse" negates the hair bulk and follicle. In some instances, topical anesthesia is applied to optimize comfort. After removal of the gel, some of the hair is immediately removed, however most of the remaining hair will fall out within one to two weeks.

EpiLight's unique design offers a customized treatment, according to one's specific hair color, texture, and location on the body, as determined by the computer's internal software. EpiLight is recommended as a series of treatments followed by a maintenance program based on your personal needs.
