Jim Gilmore, MD, FACS, FICS Jim Gilmore, MD, FACS, FICS is a
national and internationally recognized specialist in the field of facial, plastic, and cosmetic surgery.
He is "triple board certified" by the following boards: American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, American Board
of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.
In addition, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and has served as a member of the
board of trustees and is a consultant to the special section on liposuction surgery. He is the past
president and present board member of the prestigious Cosmetic Surgery Foundation dedicated to new
technology and patient safety through research. As a member of the board of trustees of the American
Board of Cosmetic Surgery, he works to provide the highest level of certification for new diplomats.
In addition, he is a member and holds positions with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery, the International College of Surgeons (FICS), the Cosmetic Surgery Society of
Texas, and a full fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Gilmore
is a graduate of the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas with
a Doctorate of medicine degree and serves as a clinical associate professor in the Department of
Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. His surgery and residency training was
accomplished at these institutions; Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Parkland Memorial Hospital, John
Peter Smith Hospital, Children's Medical Center, and Affiliated University of Texas Southwestern
Medical Center Hospitals providing his surgical and specialty training. In addition, Dr. Gilmore
served as a medical officer in the United States Air Force. Currently, Dr.
Gilmore holds staff positions at Medical City Dallas Hospital, Richardson Regional Medical
Center, Medical Center of Plano and Parkland Memorial Hospital. He is a member in good standing
with the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, The Dallas County Medical
Society, and many other national and international societies. Dr. Gilmore and his
organization are committed to patient advocacy and are in constant pursuit of excellence by
introducing innovative new technologies in the field of cosmetic and plastic surgery. Dr.
Gilmore is a frequent invited lecturer at the University of Chicago and moderator in many seminars
and national meetings. He has been a visiting consultant and teacher in many areas of the world
including Brazil, China, India, Mexico, Turkey, Vietnam, and France.
