Round and round and round the GILMORE logo goes, and it does so for a number of reasons. The practice of surgery does in itself suggest a skill, a competence, and a very powerful understanding. This understanding undergoes sensitive changes in a cosmetic surgeon and reaches a level of empathy, expressed by this image of a circle, suggesting fluidity, power, and wholeness.
There seems to be always a beginning and an end, yet in a circle they frequently become one. The oneness or wholeness of a comfortable mind, spirit, and body can bring into play quite magical results. This particular magic is achieved by the surgeon and the patient coming together to make some very healthy choices. The two breaks in the circular image represent those individual personalities coming together to create a wondrous new change. Energy, strength, and tension lie at the center of this symbol. The image refers to the changes that are accomplished and to the powerful forging of a new directional link between the two principles. Within this logo is represented the power of choice, a full blown sense of health and wholeness, a softness, and a tension that are all born of sensitivity, and an underlying fluidity that achieves a grace and balance in a life we have chosen to improve. Each staff member receives a pin in the form of this logo at their two (2) year anniversary.
